A clear listing saves time for both seller and buyer
When someone wants to sell an item, the first instinct is often to publish the listing as quickly as possible. A few minutes of preparation, however, can make a big difference. A clear text attracts people with real interest and reduces unnecessary messages.
The title should immediately explain what is being sold. Mention the type of item, brand, model, size or main condition instead of writing only “for sale” or “urgent”. A precise title looks more serious and helps the listing appear in searches.
The description should answer the buyer’s natural questions: how long the item was used, why it is being sold, whether everything works, what signs of use exist, whether accessories are included and how pickup works.
The price should be realistic. Before publishing, compare similar listings in your area. If your price is higher, explain why: very good condition, warranty, accessories, recent purchase or a rare model.
Location is important in Belgium because many buyers search close to home. Mentioning the municipality is often enough. For furniture, appliances and heavy items, clearly state whether delivery is possible or pickup is required.
Even without photos, the text should help the buyer imagine the item. Describe color, dimensions, material, condition, included parts and pickup conditions.
Before saving the listing, read it as if you were the buyer. Is everything understandable? Is any important information missing? Does the text sound natural? A well-written listing makes the seller look serious.
On OnLa, you can sell, give away, exchange or offer services. A good listing does not need to be complicated. It should be honest, clear and complete enough for someone to decide whether to contact you.
